What is the point of moving to a new, exciting culture if you can’t find time to explore it? Luckily, the Discover Poland team provide a glut of fascinating events and nooks to explore. With an office based in Krakow but covering the humour, wit and kindness of the entire country, their Facebook and Twitter pages are an excellent source of inspiration for new and settled expats alike.

The Krakow Expat Directory is a subscription listing of businesses, services, places, events, FAQs and other resources – in short a survival guide for Kraków’s entrepreneurial expat community. Their articles shared on the timeline reflect the 4 main areas of interest: topical or detailed issues, tips & things to do in Kraków, frequently asked questions and community events – not to mention the businesses listed by location and category for ease of use.

This Facebook page was set up for expats who wave the star spangled banner alongside the two toned flag beloved of Poland. Founded in 2014, the 200 or so friendly followers are learning about Polish life, alongside the dedicated Sacramento originating administrator and blogger. Jobs are often listed on the postings along with personal tales and experiences of the author.

Championing the #WeGoToPoland hashtag across of a variety of platforms, the Poland Travel website is an excellent resource for anyone thinking of moving to the home country of Marie Curie (the first woman to win a Nobel Prize), Pope John Paul II (The 264th Pope) and Frédéric Chopin (Composer). Containing a plethora of helpful information, a library of links and a fantastic variety of suggestions when you get there, this one website expats need to follow.

She has now returned to Northern America from her European home, but her blog is full of tips about Poland.

Focusing on the fiscally important aspect of expat life; a fulfilling career that keeps global citizens content and able to afford treats from their homes, the social media faces of Careers In Poland are definitely good resources to follow. Sharing articles from their own helpful website, other good sources and a range of excellent videos, the tone is professional but friendly. Their Facebook and Twitter posts are predominantly written in English, but their website features sections in a variety of international languages.

By far one of the most established Wroclaw expat Facebook groups, the nearly 10,000 members of this active community are here to help foreigners integrate into the way of life in Wroclaw. The group’s primary focus is to provide a relaxed social environment where questions can be answered and social circles can be expanded, but foul language isn’t tolerated.

Belgian Expats in Poland

Specifically set up for expats who have left their Belgian home (only a 3 hour flight or 8+ hour drive away) and set up a life in the beautiful eastern European country facing the Baltic Sea. Sharing a variety of articles ranging from helpful tips to humorous tumblr accounts, posts are in a range of languages and are intended to help Belgians residents find out about local events, recommendations of where to go and an insight to local habits and customs.
