No Set Address

In 2015, the Kings decided to pack up their life and travel the world, and they haven’t looked back since. This Aussie family of four put no expectations or time limit on their adventure, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. Husband Cam unexpectedly lost his offshore job which was their regular paycheck. They’re homeschooling the kids (or ‘worldschooling’ really) and trying to set themselves up to be truly location independent. An excellent blog if you’re likewise jetting off with a young family, and looking for lots of practical tips.

Almost Fearless
www.almostfearless.com

Before re-settling (for now) in the States, author Christine Gilbert and her husband were world travellers trying to raise their children as multilingual global citizens while living overseas. There’s not much these self-employed creatives haven’t experienced after many years of travel, with and without kids. They’ve both plotted and planned and made things up along the way. Christine’s down-to-earth writing tone and style includes – among other adventures – her quest to learn Mandarin in Beijing, Arabic in Beirut and Spanish in Mexico.

Never Ending Voyage
www.neverendingvoyage.com

A digital nomad couple who don’t sugarcoat things. Brits Simon and Erin are upfront about what it takes for them to maintain their chosen lifestyle (“it’s not all sunshine and flowers”). Where there is internet, there is work for the pair, who choose to travel slowly and really get to know destinations. Their blog is a mix of travel updates, tips and how-tos, honed from years of location hopping. Discover how they saved and now fund their travels. And if you’re going to take carry-on-only luggage packing advice from anyone, it’s this couple.

Where In The World Is Nina
www.whereintheworldisnina.com

American Nina Ragusa ‘broke up with her cubicle’ in 2011 and bought herself a one-way plane ticket to Thailand. Years later she’s a nomadic expat on a mission to travel, live and work on all continents. She hit the headlines for managing to save USD 17k in 10 months while living and working in Australia – one of the most expensive countries in the world. Her blog is all about her own journey, and sharing the inspirational stories of others on a similar path. Her key takeaway? Focus on what you need, not what you want.

Different Doors
www.different-doors.com

Revati and Charles are a married couple from Mumbai, advertising professionals by day, amateur chefs and professional travel bloggers by night. They aim to point out the lesser known but still extremely interesting things about popular destinations. Believers in quality over quantity will particularly enjoy their blog, which is beautifully curated with a luxe, indulgent feel. Hit their ‘destinations’ tab for a rundown of where they have been and recommendations for off-the-beaten-track experiences. The pair show what is achievable when you set out to work to live.

It’s All Bee
www.itsallbee.com

Bianca works full time in IT but uses her generous UK holiday allowance to prioritize seeing the world. She’s living life to the fullest and showing her blog readers how they too can balance career goals while scratching that travel itch. Originally from Zambia and engaged to an Israeli guy, Bee’s is a happy-go-lucky blog but with a serious side. Not one to be put in any kind of “niche” box she’s as enthusiastic about an island resort party as she is about a hiking and camping adventure.
