It’s been a quietish week over on ExpatFocus as both the editor and community manager have been away. The editor – that’s me – got stuck in a house in the middle of nowhere in Scotland with limited wifi, and then on a train with no wifi at all. Which in 2015 feels a bit like being stuck without air.
But we’ll be back in full force from next week, and in the meantime we did still manage to publish some posts for you. I’ve been experimenting with Duolingo as a language-learning app recently, and I like it so far. But apps aren’t for everyone, and while they’re a good starting point, they often need to be supplemented with some more intense training if you want to learn a language properly.
